Whytes Co, the love-child of Fashion Designer Nadia Botzenhard and Information Architect Thomas Escher, set up with just one goal – to produce the perfect white t-shirt. After months of research and prototypes the first batch of Whytes tee’s have arrived.
Starting their process by sourcing the ideal fabric involved putting 22 different jersey fabrics to an intense washing test, there was only one that matched their ambition: A European made, premium, lightweight blend of Combed Cotton and Micromodal. The super-soft fabric feels like a second skin and is surprisingly crease resistant.
After an extensive 18 months of trialling prototypes and over a dozen different cuts the design duo gathered the positive response to create a slim fit tee with mid-length slim-cut sleeves (which I rolled up in the image below), but also wanted to offer the product in two lengths – both a standard and a longer length. I love a bit more length, it’s really flattering as its slightly elongates the body shape, making you appear slimmer. A huge selection of 10 sizes means you really can find your perfect fit.
High quality and expert craftsmanship are the core values of the brand. Sourcing fabrics in Western Europe and setting up production in Germany has ensured a standard of production that really does lend itself to the idea of the perfect white t-shit. The result really is perfect! Unlike anything found on the Highstreet, it’s tailored fit and superior fabric sets it apart from the rest.
